Resources for Information on Algae

There have been a number concerns expressed about the growth of algae on Deep Creek Lake. This webpage aims to collect information that hopefully educates. It needs to be understood that algae form in calm and static waters. Some of our coves are such, and hence one could expect algae to grow there, but the vast majority of the lake cannot be classified as calm and static. It appears that there still is a lot not known about the grawth cycle of these algae.
