The Land Prior to the Formation of Deep Creek Lake

Deep Creek Lake is is a man-made lake. This map is of the area prior to the formation of Deep Creek Lake. One may notice that a large part of the area was classified as swamp.

This map was constructed from two panels and only the area of interest is shown. These maps represent a survey made in 1898.
